Caroline Nolan used to work in the fashion world before turning her attention and love to writing. She is a lover of wine, coffee and chocolate and is not afraid to have them all at the same time. She lives in Toronto with her husband and their fur baby. This Is Love is her first novel.

great love story, life lesson, etc.

This story is great. In over 2,000 books, this is the first time I personally have come across this storyline. If you have the spiritual belief to see that her experiences were very possible, the story takes on a whole new meaning.
A few weeks from the wedding, her fiancé is killed in a one car accident. She is devastated. It is over a year before she is able to get out of bed, shower, and go to work. And then a memory would set her back again. These two had a great love affair going and it is easy to see how she could think that her life was over and she would never love again.
She is finally talked into going out with her best friend, one that has been trying to get her back to the land of the living. She meets a very attractive guy. Turns out he was 2 years ahead of her in high school and at the time he was the "it" guy. All the ladies have a crush and would like to get this guy's attention. She is still not on the same page with dating, etc.
Then she starts to have very vivid dreams. Ben, her fiancé, comes to her in the dreams. They relive moments in their life together. She still loves him and he assures her that he loves her, always will, and misses her. She feels that even though he has passed, she still has him. She doesn't share this with anyone because they will just try and talk her out of it but she knows it is real.
Jackson is quite taken with her and willing to be friends just to be in her space. Their love story is very touching and you really can feel the chemistry. But, there is Ben on the other side. This is very believable for me. I know it can happen and I can understand Ben's part in her recovery. You have to love Jackson. He is a prince among men. What a guy.
This is a great story and I definitely recommend it. A great read. I had a hard time finding stopping places so that I could sleep and eat!! Terrific love story - two in fact. There are side characters that make for a lot of very light, funny moments. This story was not sad on a whole, even though I did cry in a few places. Mostly because your heart just breaks for them. But, such is life and lessons to be learned. Don't pass this one up.

Right up there with The Notebook

I have to rate this right there with the Note Book, which was even before she referenced it in the book. I honestly loved reading this. It was a true love story that had me rooting for Rachel and Jackson.... The way she loved Ben and would dream about him, made me this that he was real, which he was to her. She lost a great love but was able to gain another one with Jackson.
Looking forward to the next book!!

This is a very talented author

When you read a huge number of books you become more selective about quality writers. This book is done so well. It "kind of" has the feel of Where One Goes" which was amazing, BUT this is NOT the same. It's done very differently, which was interesting. Rachel was written so well. You felt what she was feeling and Jackson was perfection. I wanted more from his POV, but we did hear the epilogue from him! Wonderful book.
